⠀One of a trio - the other two being the Tree of Life and the Tree of Mana. Is there any information on the other two Trees? I have no idea. Either way, they aren't the focus here.

⠀The apples on the Tree are divided; positivity on one side, negativity on the other.

Positive apple effects

Negative apple effects

⠀...If a mortal eats a single apple, they'd become someone evil, without heart and only with the interest of hurting others. If you eat more than one, you die. This applies to anything considered to be alive. The twins, who are technically not living beings, are an exception to this.

⠀Forgive me for the foul language, but I don't know shit. If she could show up and TELL me, that would be wonderful, but she's long gone.

⠀I don't remember what the Tree in my timeline was like, but I depict it a certain way for a reason: positivity and negativity distributed evenly among the leaves. They are not two completely separate concepts; without one, the other loses its meaning. They are emotions first and foremost and emotions are not so easily sorted into singular categories. (And yeah, technically real trees don't look like that, but I do what I want. It's magic either way, it doesn't have to make sense from a Creator-world perspective.)

⠀Apples

⠀As for the apples themselves, I think of them like.. a very, very strong medicine. It might taste good or it might want to make you throw up. Depending on what you're struggling with, you might need different amounts of different things. But if you take too much for you to handle, things can start going very, very wrong. Especially if something increased the dose without you knowing. (cough cough for those who don't know - that's what happened in the original timeline, and what i'm pretty sure happened here too. the power of the negativity apples became much more potent than it should have been as a result of some 'interference,' and that made it much, much harder to deal with the. uh. cravings afterwards.)

⠀Positive apple effects

⠀IN A NUTSHELL: Increases positive emotions. The more you eat, the heavier the effect. The type of positive emotions can depend on what you're most prone to feeling, whether in that moment or as a whole.

⠀More info to add properly:

⠀Eating a golden apple will make you feel a significant amount of positive emotions. This can vary depending on the type of emotions the apple holds and the kind of positivity you’re more prone to feeling at the moment. Sounds good at first glance, but it can get real overwhelming really quick if you have too much (even one apple would be pushing the limits), and chances are you wouldn’t be able to think clearly.

⠀Negative apple effects

⠀IN A NUTSHELL: Increases negative emotions. The more you eat, the heavier the effect, and the negative apples' effects have been drastically increased from what they originally would have been. The type of negative emotions can depend on what you're most prone to feeling, whether in that moment or as a whole. ⠀More info to add properly:

⠀Eating a black apple would do the same thing, just in the other direction. Due to it being negativity, it would be immediately unpleasant to experience. Similar to a golden apple, it would get overwhelming quickly, and ever since its effects became more potent it would be worse.
